There are 20 paylines across the five reels, with various symbols, wilds, and scatters tempting you with rich rewards. The slot pays from left to right, and only the highest win per line counts.
Is there anything special about this slot? Read on, as we’ll cover everything, from symbols to hit frequency, in our Wilderland review.
There are 11 symbols in the game, including the scatter and wild. The highest value icon is the regal elven princess. Next is the fox familiar and bow and quiver, both of which have the same value.
At the lower end, there’s the jeweled blue staff and a purple flower ring. Finally, there are four leaves, shaped like a club, heart, diamond, and spade.
All the symbols fit the mystical and enchanted elven forest theme, with ornate knots, patterns, and frames highlighting the different icons.
From colorful, low-paying leaves to the highly rewarding elven princess herself, here are the different symbols and paylines you’ll encounter in the game.
To bet across all lines, you’ll need to wager 0.20. The maximum wager is a whopping 1,000, which means this slot is excellent for conservative players and high rollers with significant bankrolls.
The Wilderland RTP is 96.16%, which sounds good in theory. However, combined with the game’s low volatility and broad bet range, you might not get any significantly big wins.
We did a 1,000-spin test for our Wilderland review and managed to trigger the free spin bonus round five times.
However, despite hitting relatively regular wins, we didn’t manage to break even.
Despite all its fun and rewarding features, the slot doesn’t have a regular or progressive jackpot.
The max win also caps at x240, which is somewhat disappointing compared to most other casino games. Even with the potential of unlimited free spins, luck will only take you so far.
For our Wilderland review, we’re taking you deeper into the enchanted forest to look at some of the mystical and exciting features you can encounter!
The regular wild is a jeweled red “W” encased in a golden frame. This symbol can substitute for any of the others, excluding scatters.
If two or more of these icons drop into the activation zone side-by-side, they’ll take on the walking variation-type.
Like the wild, the scatter is a jeweled “S” in a simple golden frame. They can drop anywhere on the reels, and three or more will trigger the bonus round.
You can also get a walking type, which has a more ornate frame. These variations act as both scatters and wilds.
Walking wilds occur when regulars land side-by-side in the Activation Zone. Aside from the standard symbol, you can get three other types: x2 multiplier, scatter, and the expanding stack.
You could get lucky and get a magic wild, which only happens when a stacked type moves off-screen from reel one. The feature may activate randomly, making the symbols reappear on reel five.
A combination of scatters triggers the bonus round, and you’ll always start with a minimum of six free spins. During these spins, the Activation Zone expands to cover the whole screen, making walking wilds a more common occurrence.
There’s no maximum limit on the number of free spins you can get. If there are walking wilds on the screen, your bonus round will continue.
Theoretically, if your luck holds out, you have potentially infinite free spins available.
However, once all the walking wilds have strolled off the reels, your bonus round will come to an end.
Wilderland has a unique feature called the Forest Treasure. During the base game, the middle row becomes a sparkle-lined Activation Zone.
Landing any two wilds side-by-side in the area will turn them into one of the four random Walking Wilds: regular, scatter, multiplier, or stack.
The Activation Zone expands to cover all three rows in the bonus game, allowing for bigger, more frequent wins.
This slot is a treat, both visually and audibly. The graphics perfectly capture the forest’s beauty at night, with a gentle breeze playing through the leaves of the enchanted tree.
From the backgrounds to the symbols, the game’s design is nothing less than magical.
The dancing fairy lights and the mesmerizing soft music adds to the mystical atmosphere. The soundtrack perfectly matches the elven forest theme and draws you even further into the game.
Even the sound of the falling reels has a sparkling quality to it.
There are a few slots with similar mechanics, features, and designs, but most don’t quite capture the magic of Wilderland.
If you’d like something with an elven theme and a few bigger wins, you could try Alchemy Gaming’s Goldar Guardians. Alternatively, try out Playtech’s Kingdoms Rise: Forbidden Forest Attributes for 576 ways to win.
Wilderland is a stunning, entertaining slot, even if it isn’t the most rewarding one out there.
If you’re looking to spend a few coins having a good time while enjoying great graphics and a captivating soundtrack, this is a great game to play. However, if you’re looking for big jackpots, massive wins, and a lot of noise, this isn’t the slot for you.
