According to a recent Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board report, in-person game revenue rose to $3.3billion in the last fiscal year. This figure is a new record by the state, taking over from the previous one set in 2018/19 of $3.2billion.

Slots are still on top of the favorites list

While the PA has seen a general increase in revenues on the games, slots are still firm favorites for most players. The annual report stated a total revenue of about $2.4billion, with the rest made up of table games.

The Rivers Casino Pittsburg reported revenues of over $270million from slots, while table games brought a respectable $92million.

The sector is looking up post-Covid

July 2021 to June 2022 is the first fiscal year since 2018/19 that was not affected by closures related to Covid-19. However, the increase is also likely attributable to two new locations opening in PA.

Alternatives to in-person casino gaming

During the pandemic, in-person casinos constantly suffered due to Covid-19-related closures. However, PA players could always come online and play casino games from their PC or mobile.
