Calling all poker fans, near and far!

The third installment of PokerStars Pennsyl-MANIA has been announced to take place this weekend (December 27th) and is expected to be the biggest one yet.

PokerStars PA has revealed that there will be a guaranteed prize pool of $500k, which is the largest online poker prize ever offered in the state.

Buy-in is $200, and participants have the option to re-enter a total of five times during late registration. It is a no-limit hold 'em tournament.

The first time PokerStars held Pennsyl-MANIA, the prize pool was set at $250k. There were almost 3,000 entries, causing the pool to double to $515,964, also record-breaking.

In August during the second part of Pennsyl-MANIA, PokerStars PA had a $350k guarantee which rose to $375k after more than 2,000 entries came in.

PokerStars Continues to Operate as Sole Online Poker Site in PA

PokerStars teamed up with Mount Airy Casino to launch its online platform in 2019 and has hosted numerous large online poker tournaments over the last year.

A few include the PASCOOP, PACOOP, Bounty Builder, and Winter and Summer Series.

Since PokerStars launched in Pennsylvania, over a year ago, they have remained the only operator to offer both an online casino platform and poker site.

However, this is expected to change in 2021.

BetMGM has recently launched an online casino in PA and is rumored to be bringing its NJ poker platform, partypoker, over very soon.

WSOP.com, the largest poker site in the country, is also expected to debut in the state by 2021.
