BetMGM is now live with an online casino in PA, after securing a deal with Hollywood Casino. Here's what happened during BetMGM's first week live in Pennsylvania.
BetMGM officially launched the 13th online casino in Pennsylvania on December 4th, and what a week it has been.
After a three day soft launch period from Tuesday to Thursday, BetMGM announced the online casino would be available 24/7 on Friday.
Players now have access to a long list of popular games and daily promotions BetMGM is known for in New Jersey.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt commented in a press release:
"We're thrilled to bring BetMGM's online casino offering to Pennsylvania. With more than 140 different games, including our own in-house progressive jackpot network, we're delivering the widest range of content currently available in the state. Alongside MGM Resorts and its M life Rewards program, BetMGM will provide players with a truly unique entertainment experience."
BetMGM was able to launch in Pennsylvania after securing a deal with Hollywood Casino at Penn National to operate online through its license.
So far BetMGM has only gone live with an online casino in PA, however, the license now also allows for a sportsbook.
The company owns partypoker in NJ, which is expected to join PokerStars in PA as the second online poker site in the near future.
After just a week of being live, BetMGM already has over 100 games in its library and a welcome bonus worth $1,025.
Players can start by claiming $25 in FREEPLAY after completing registration, and then a 100% depoist match up to $1,000.
From here, users will have access to a number of promotions and the BetMGM game library.
This includes a variety of table casino games, like blackjack and roulette, as well as popular online slot titles including:
There are also a few jackpot slots players will only find at BetMGM PA:
The online casino lacks live dealer games at the time being, but that is expected to change shortly due to the recent debut of live casinos in the state.
BetMGM will most likely be the last online casino to launch in PA this year (2020), however, a few US operators are expetced to join the party next year (2021).
Golden Nugget, a large casino operator in NJ, has been trying to obtain an online casino license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board at the same time as BetMGM.
While the PGCB hasn't approved a license yet, Golden Nugget has plan to launch as a qualified gaming entity in the state.
This means it will not need the license from a land-based casino in PA and can operate on its license from New Jersey.
